Kerala Startup Mission in association with IEDC MES AIMAT is organized design thinking workshop for the nodal officers and the faculty members on Feb 12th and 13th for IEDC Nodal officers of Ernakulum, Alappuzha and Thrissur.. This Workshop is useful for faculties from Polytechnic and Arts & Science Colleges also. Total number of seats is limited to 30. The registration fees for the workshop is 2000/- per head. Mr. Sony John Bronzon, CPLP, Master Facilitator – Head Training and Organizational Development Allone Training and Development lead the sessions. Twenty Six IEDC Nodal officers/ Faculties from 20 different Colleges participated in the event. Dr. P A Habeeb Rahiman, Director MES AIMAT welcomed the gathering, this workshop helped the participants to develop practical and innovative solutions and also gave insights to the Design Engineering paper included in the syllabus of KTU.

MES-AIMAT conducted Grand Finale of Minutiae 2k18 Intercollegiate State Level Quiz Competition for undergraduate students on 7th February 2018, Wednesday. The quiz competition was conducted at Two-Levels. The first level (Prelims) was conducted at more than 50+ colleges all over the Kerala. Around 65 selected teams out of 1000 teams of the prelims, participated for the Grand Finale.
The program started with semi-final prelims round, out of which 6 teams went ahead for the finale. Mar Thoma College for Women, Perumbavoor, won the quiz with the cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and St. Peter’s College, Kolenchery were Runner ups with cash Prize of Rs 5000. The programme ended with Valedictory session. Dr. P. A. Habeeb Rahiman addressed the gathering and honoured the winners with certificates and cash prize. Mr. Saheem Sadik, Student Co-ordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
MES-AIMAT conducted a Budget Talk at its campus on 5th February 2018, Monday. The session was handled by CA P.J. Johney, Former Chairman, ICAI, Ernakulam. It was attended by faculties and students of B.Com, BBA, M.Com and MBA departments. More than 100 students participated in the talk. This discussion platform was arranged in the light of Union Budget 2018 presented by our Respected Finance Minister Sri Arun Jaitley on 1st February 2018. The program was formally inaugurated by Dr. P. A. Habeeb Rahiman, Director, MES-AIMAT and Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Student Co-Ordinator Ms. Liyana Rasheed.
Application for admission to Entrance Examination of MBA course in Kerala can be submitted only through online in the website http://www.kmatkerala.in/. Application fee can be remitted online from 15.11.2017 to 19.01.2018. The last date and time for submission of applications through online will be 20.01.2018, 12 pm. The date of examination is 04.02.2018

Fee for General Candidates is Rs 1000/- & for SC/ST Candidates is Rs 750/-, and is payable only via Net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card facility of any bank. 2. Once the payment is successful, login using the SB Collect Reference Number and date of birth as password to complete the rest of the registration process. The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) of IEDC MES AIMAT in association with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) organized a two day workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) on 23rd January 2018. The venue of the workshop is MES AIMAT Seminar Hall. The workshop was conducted in association with Kerala Startup mission and Fox Lab Malappuram and Maker Space Thiroor.

IEDC MES AIMAT organized a talk on Venture Capital funding for startups on November 22nd 2017 by Mr. Joy Paul, Regional Head and Dy Vice President Federal bank Ernakulum Zonal office from 1.30pm-4.30pm. Venture funding works like gears. A typical startup goes through several rounds of funding, and at each round you want to take just enough money to reach the speed where you can shift into the next gear. Mr. Joy Paul in his talk explained the various funding schemes from banks available for startups. Prof. Sajjad HOD MBA welcomed the gathering, Prof. Mohammed Sajjad and Prof. Lakshmi. B HOD MCA presented memento to the chief guest. The programme was concluded at 4.30pm
The Startup i3 is the platform for students to express their innovative ideas in a group. Brain storming the ideas in a group will help the students to ascertain whether their idea is viable or not. The mentoring sessions are organized made in such a way that the best ideas are offered pre-incubation facility under KSUM and Innovative ideas will be shown the best path as to how well the same can be executed.
A team of 5 members from colleges across boot camps in the state shall participate Startupi3. The members to be identified by the Boot Camp Nodal officer from each college .
Ideation is one of the basic process which have to be shown the right path. Connecting the Problem of the society and need of the society will create successful enterprise. Connecting the same with technology will bring out innovative technology products. Kerala Start up Mission in association with Open fuel will be giving a platform for students to interact with each other and to through away the barrier of expression.
Innovation needs knowledge, exposing the students to technology will bring out innovation. The 2 days programme will help the students to identify the core areas they can relate their studies with innovation.
Kerala Start up Mission gives the unique platform for the students to take their ideas to the next level. Mentorship and technical expertise will help the students to mould their ideas into successful products. The pre incubation facility will help the students to get a clear idea on the infrastructure facilities provided to the startup companies. The companies need not be registered for coming up their start up at the initial stage.
IEDC MES AIMAT organized startup i3 in assoication with Kerala Startup Mission on November 3rd and 4th 2017. The student coordinators for the programme is, Muhammed Hafis(CEO IEDC S4 MCA), Priya Jose K (COO S4 MCA), Megha Babu, Dilsha M Dileep, Juhaina K H and Jithin K Joshy. St Thomas College Kannur and Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology shared the first prize for best idea and MES AIMAT and NSS college of Engieering Palakkad shared the second prize.
MBA department of MES-AIMAT conducted a Faculty Development Programme on Goods & Services Tax at its campus on 30 th October 2017. The resource person for the programme was CA Soman N. L. who is convenor of the study group for GST in the State of Kerala constituted by ICAI, New Delhi. Around more than 50 participants from various colleges like St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulum, MES college, Erumely, MES College, Kunnkara etc. attended the programme. Resource person through his presentation and
class gave a clear picture about GST. Various scopes and dimensions about GST were highlighted during the session giving clear idea about How, on What and at What rate GST is applicable, thus clearing all the ambiguity in the minds of the participants about GST. The formal welcome address for the
programme was delivered by Dr. P. A. Habeeb Rahiman, Director, MES-AIMAT and vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Shiney Sam, Co-ordinator of the programme.
