The faculty, students and staff of MES-AIMAT, Marampally organized a No-Horn Day awareness campaign at Marampally Junction in connection with International Noise Pollution Awareness Day on 26th April 2017. Dr. P. A. Habeeb Rahiman, Director, MES-AIMAT welcomed the gathering, Shri. T. A. Fazil, S I of Police, Perumbavoor inaugurated the awareness campaign and addressed the gathering on the importance of minimizing noise pollution for better health & well being. Dr. Sudeep S., Coordinator for the awareness campaign program proposed the vote of thanks.
National Securities Depository Limited (NSDSL) e-Governance Infrastructure Ltd., has developed Vidya Lakshmi Portal. This portal has facilities of education loan, scholarship and other student friendly facilities through one link. The portal is gateway to Banks for education loan & also has linkages with National e-Scholarship Portal (NeSP).

A public programme on the theme “Sustainable Tourism “based on the UN declaring 2017 as the “International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development” was conducted on 20th of January 2017 at MES AIMAT seminar hall at 2pm.The resource person was Prof.K.C.Jalachandran ,Regional Manager Jet Airways and President Institute for Travel and Tourism. He spoke on the various aspects related to the theme with anecdotes from his own experiences in the field of tourism. The interactive session was educative for the student participants as they were made aware of the various programmes initiated by governmental bodies to enhance sustainable tourism in the state, the country and the world as a whole. The welcome address was by Ms.Shankary.P the lady student coordinator of the programme.The presidential address was given by Dr.P.A.Habeeb Rahiman, Director of the institute, the felicitation was given by Dr.Abraham.B.Meleth, HOD MBA .The programme ended with a thank you note by Mr. Basil P.B. the 2nd student coordinator of the programme
The Stop.Think.Connect. Campaign is an awareness campaign aimed at increasing the understanding of cyber threats and empowering the students to be safer and more secure online. Cyber security is a shared responsibility. We each have to do our part to keep the Internet safe. When we all take simple steps to be safer online, it makes using the Internet a more secure experience for everyone. We live in a world that is more connected than ever before. The Internet touches almost all aspects of everyone’s daily life, whether we realize it or not. IEDC MES AIMAT in association with Kerala Cyber Cell conducted a session to raise awareness about cyber security, provide them with tools and resources needed to stay safe online, and increase the resiliency of the Nation in the event of a cyber-incident on December 9 2016 Friday from 10.00 to 1.00pm. Dr. Abraham B Meleth, HOD MBA MES AIMAT welcomed the gathering. Mr. Thalhath P M Civil Police Officer Kerala Cyber cell lead the session and the session was concluded at 1 pm. A Two day training program on Two-day finishing touch program for MBA students (METAMORPHOSIS) was conducted on 2rd and 3th of December(Friday and Saturday) 2016 . Dr.P.A.Habeeb Rahman, Director MES AIMAT welcomed the Trainers and the participants. The sessions was handled by Mr. Ramachandran K C from ICT Academy Kerala. ICT Academy of Kerala is a Social Enterprise created in a Public Private Partnership model (PPP) for imparting ICT skills to the youths of Kerala and improve their employability opportunities in the Industry. The Company is supported by Govt. of India, partnered by Govt. of Kerala and the ICT industry. The core objective of the programme was to improve employability skills amongst Students.

With an objective to orient students to take up entrepreneurial career, MES AIMAT is organizing a series of training programmes and workshops titled Starupedia-2017. The official launching programme was conducted on December 1st 2016.The chief guest for the event are Mr. Rajan T Nair (Project Officer EDII India) and Mr. Daniel Jeevan (Technical Officer Kerala Startup Mission). Dr.P.A.Habeeb Rahman, Director MES AIMAT welcomed the gathering. Mr. Rajan T. Nair (Project officer, EDII) inaugurated the programme and discussed the charms of being an entrepreneur. The event was presided over by Dr. Dr. K C Sankaranarayanan, leading economist and former director of the institution. Mr. Daniel Jeevan , Technical Officer Kerala Startup Mission explained the different activities of Kerala Startup Mission and the various supports they provide for encouraging student startups. The felicitations were given by the Heads of department MBA Dr. Abraham B Meleth and HOD in charge MCA Ms.Shariza Azeez. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Jibin N Nodal officer IEDC MES AIMAT. The student coordinators of programme were Mr. Sajad Mohammed, CEO IEDC AIMAT (S5 MCA), Mr.Hafis.K, CTO IEDC MES AIMAT (S3 MCA) and Fathiha Rahath CFO IEDC MES AIMAT (S3 MCA). The programme was over by 12.30 pm.
FAB LAB Kerala Startup Mission conducted a two day workshop titled “Srishti”- the training programme for MES AIMAT Students. Fab lab visit for students was held on 26/11/2016, 27/11/2016. The students got an opportunity to interact with the project managers. They gave the students an overview on projects at Fablab, Kochi. The innovation was made possible by the digital fabrication laboratory, a concept developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The amazing world of fab lab, as it is globally known and, which has by now popularized the slogan ‘anyone can make anything’. Our students got training and practical experience in various machines in FAB LAB like Shopbot Gantry, Printrbot LC Kit, laser cutting vinyl cutting, etc, also they created many furniture for IEDC Lab.It was a fabulous experience to the students and got practical experience for operating various machines. The student coordinators of programme were Mr. Sajad Mohammed, CEO IEDC AIMAT (S5 MCA), Mr. Mohammed Shanib (S3 MCA), CTO IEDC MES AIMAT (S3 MCA) and Fathiha Rahath CFO IEDC MES AIMAT (S3 MCA).
A round table conference on the theme “War against Black money –India Opens up Digital Cash Era” was held on the 24th of November 2016 at the AIMAT seminar hall. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.K.S.Radhakrishna, former Vice Chancellor University of Sanskrit and former chairman PSC Kerala. The lead talk was by Mr.Mohanachandran K.R (Chief General Manager and chief Risk Officer, Federal Bank).The discussion elaborated extensively on the latest developments of the demonetization of high value currency of our country. The central government’s take on black money and the consequential need for digitalization of cash system were spoken about from a banker’s perspective .The programme began with a welcome and presidential address by Dr.P.A .Habeeb Rahiman and Dr.Muhammed Aslam.The theme was introduced by leading economist and former director of the institution, Dr.K.C.Sankaranarayanan.The programme was attended by management representative of MES.The felicitations were given by the Heads of department MBA Dr.Abraham .B.Meleth and MCA Ms.Shariza Azeez.The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.Shama P.L. student coordinator .
