Nature of The Programme

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at MES AIMAT is a two-year full time Post Graduate programme offered under credit semester system. The revised curriculum of MCA will come into effect from the Academic Year 2020-21 onwards.

Eligibility

Admission to the Master of Computer Applications Programme is on the basis of merit as determined by the Entrance examination and Personal interview conducted at the Institution level.

  • Candidates should pass B.C.A / Bsc.(Computer Science)/Bsc.(IT) B.E (CSE)/B.Tech.(CSE)/B.E(IT)/B.Tech(IT) or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

OR

  • Candidates should pass any graduation degree (eg. B.E/B.Tech. /Bsc/B.Com./B.A./B.Voc. etc.) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level from a recognized University.

OR

  • Candidates with such degrees awarded by the Mahatma Gandhi University or any other degree programmes recognized as equivalent to the above listed programmes by the Mahatma Gandhi University are also eligible to apply.
  • In such cases candidates should have obtained at least 50 % marks (45 % marks in case of candidates belong to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Admission Procedure

The applicant should obtain a separate application form and prospectus from M.E.S- AIMAT, Marampally on payment of Rs.500/- in cash. Those who would like to get the application form by post may send a DD for Rs. 550/- drawn in favor of Director, M.E.S- AIMAT payable at Aluva / Ernakulam.

The application can also be downloaded from the website www.mesaimat.ac.in and the aspirant may apply to the institute with the required documents.

LBS will call the candidates shortlisted based on the Kerala MCA Entrance Exam for Group Discussion and Interviews.

The Attested copies of the following documents must accompany the application

  1. Age Certificate
  2. Mark the list of the qualifying exam
  3. Caste Certificate
  4. Certificate of the weightage marks

The documents to be produced at the time of admission

  1. Original Mark list of the qualifying examination
  2. Degree Certificate
  3. Intimation Card
  4. Transfer Certificate& Conduct Certificate
  5. Two pass port size photographs
  6. Certificate in original in weightage marks
  7. Migration Certificate for students other than M.G. University
  8. Recognition Certificate if necessary

Aim of Programme

The aim of the Master of Computer Applications Programme is to impart innovation-oriented education to students and to provide a globally recognized academic environment through industry-academia collaborations, digital learning, and state-of-the-art skill development.

The objective of the MCA Programme is to enable the students to have a holistic approach to becoming a thorough professional in the field of IT. Students are trained to have a sound foundation in the fundamentals of computer technology, a high level of practical skill in the use of that technology, and at the same time to be sensitive to the issues prevailing in the society.
